As you know by now, I enjoy receiving tiles from all around the world. Just this week I have received tiles from Singapore, Australia, central Canada, the United Kingdom, to name just a few. Others come from just about every State. This last week, however, I traveled to Western MA, to the Kripalu Yoga Center, to take part in a three day class, taught by Molly Hollibaugh and Martha Huggins, who are the daughters of Zentangle Founder Maria Thomas. One afternoon we were treated to a visit from Maria herself, together with co founder Rick Roberts. Wonderful tangling was done. These litte bijou monotangles paved the way for a larger tile combining them. A second set of bijou mono tangles also spawned a larger tile combining them Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts, wanted to show us how nature tangles. They showed us a sand dollar and a barnicle shell. The lesson involved embedded letters. The borders were inspired by that barnicle shell and the ocean in which it was found. Finally, we spent some time with 3Z tiles, which are triangular. Spirals were the theme of the day.

Traveling is what I do for a living. I am not that famous yet, but we will get there. I am still trying my hardest to become a better blogger too. I get a lot of ideas and inspiration from the things that you do. Personally, I would love to see you do the things that you are doing right now. There is nothing that I would want more than just to see you get the best life possible for yourself.

I have been tangling since 2015. I found out about Zentangle from a colleague who had taken a class. Unfortunately, the person with whom they took the class, lived a considerable distance from me. Searching the Zentangle Website I found a Certified Zentangle Teacher much closer to me. After classes with her, for the best part of a year. She showed me that this was an art form I could feel comfortable with and find the creativity that I didn't think was there. The rest they say is history. In April 2017, I traveled to Providence RI to attend the training to become a certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). I am privileged to be CZT 26.
